About Friggin' Time

The Boston Celtics. This team has crushed my heart so many times in my life. I understand what the forty year old Red Sox fans feel like because I have put so much energy into this team and have got nothing out of it. Until now. Tonight, I witnessed my team become the Eastern Conference Champions. It is their first finals appearance since 1987 and since I was born in 1988, it is my first. The Celtics will be facing the Los Angeles Lakers for the World Championship. I will be cheering for my boys through the upcoming weeks, even though they have let me down before. Somehow this time seems a little different. I have loved every player the team has ever put on the roster (except Dan Dickau), so I want to take some time to applaud some of the players who tried but could not get it done in Boston. Antoine Walker. Tony Battie. Dee Brown. Dana Barross. Mark Blount. Ricky Davis. Tony Delk. Eric Williams. Pervis Ellison. Kenny Anderson and most importantly, Walter McCarty. Look at us now boys.

And I almost forgot, Fuck Rick Pitino
